Overview

Cleaner is an AI-powered phone storage cleaner and manager designed with your privacy as the top priority. This app operates entirely on your device — no data is ever sent to external servers, no accounts are created, and no personal information is collected or shared with third parties.

Data Access & Permissions

Cleaner requests access only to the media and files stored on your device. Specifically, the app may request the following permissions:

• Photo Library Access: To scan, analyze, organize, and manage your photos and videos. This includes detecting duplicates, blurry images, similar photos, and compressing media files.
• Storage / File Access: To identify junk files, temporary files, old downloads, empty folders, large files, and other cleanable items on your device.
• Contacts Access: Only if you choose to use the Contacts Manager feature to find and merge duplicate contacts. This is entirely optional.
• Camera Access: Used solely for vault security features (e.g., face recognition for vault protection). No photos are taken or stored by the app itself.
• Microphone Access: Only used for voice commands when interacting with the AI assistant. Audio is processed locally and never recorded or stored.
• Notifications: To send you cleaning reminders based on your chosen schedule. Notification preferences are fully configurable and can be disabled at any time.
• Biometric / Face ID: Used for vault authentication and PIN reset. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system — Cleaner never accesses or stores biometric data directly.

All permissions are explicitly requested from you before access is granted. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings. The app will continue to function with reduced features if permissions are denied.

Local-Only Processing

All data processing happens 100% on your device. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.

Cleaner does not use any cloud services, remote servers, or backend infrastructure. This includes:

• AI Analysis: All AI-powered features — including smart cleaning recommendations, photo quality analysis, duplicate detection, and the AI assistant — run entirely on your device using local processing.
• File Operations: Scanning, cleaning, compressing, and organizing files are all performed locally.
• Vault Encryption: Your secure vault files are stored locally on your device with PIN and optional biometric protection.
• Settings & Preferences: All app settings, notification schedules, theme preferences, and vault configurations are stored in a local database on your device.

No Account Required

Cleaner does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier. The app functions fully without any form of registration or authentication beyond your optional vault PIN.

No Data Collection or Transmission

Cleaner does not:

• Collect any personal data or usage analytics
• Send any data to remote servers or APIs
• Use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
• Share your data with any third parties
• Store any data outside your device
• Access any data beyond what you explicitly permit

Your files, photos, contacts, and all other data remain exclusively on your device at all times.

Data Security

The Secure Vault feature protects your sensitive files with a 4-digit PIN. Vault files are moved to a protected application directory that is not accessible by other apps. Optional biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint) provides an additional layer of security, handled by your device's native security framework.

PIN verification uses SHA-256 hashing — your actual PIN is never stored in plain text.

File Deletion

When you choose to clean or delete files through Cleaner, those files are permanently removed from your device. The app clearly identifies which files are safe to delete and provides selection controls so you always have full control over what gets removed. Cleaner will never delete files without your explicit action and confirmation.

Children's Privacy

Cleaner does not knowingly collect any data from children or any other users. Since no personal data is collected at all, this app is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in app updates with a revised "Last updated" date. Since no data leaves your device, policy changes will primarily relate to new features or permission changes, which will always require your explicit consent.
